Hello Everybody!
I/We/The boat have now been in the Canaries for almost three weeks. Most of this we spent in Arrecife, either on anchor or in the marina in town.
There will be a separate article about what we were up to until now but this is more of a schedule-update so to speak.
I will move aboard the second boat Moira on Friday the 1st of November. Thomas the captain, is arriving in Arrecife on Thursday the 31st, we will go and do the big food shop for the passage together with the other crewmember, Franzi. Then in the evening it is Halloween. Which ended up being a big deal since the kid boats organised for the kids to go trick or treating on the boats in the marina and we will all dress up.
Then on the 1st I will move over to Moira and we will leave towards El Hierro around Saturday the 2nd, weather permitting.
Then we will spend about another week in the canaries and then around the 12th we will start the passage to Cape Verde. We will be 3 crew on board in total, and the passage of 750nm will take 5-6 days. In Cape Verde, two Swedish people will join the crew and we will start the crossing to Barbados in the beginning of November after some weeks of exploring around the Cape Verde islands.
For the Atlantic crossing we will be 5 people on the boat and will make first landfall in Barbados after about 14-15 days and then head down to Grenada for New Years. Apparently we will be filming the passage, I will share more details about that as soon as I know more.
Then I will stay on Moira until the second of January, after that the plan is pretty open.
I will try to find a boat to take me either to Panama, Columbia or Suriname/the Guyanas and then keep travelling from there.
