Our longest passage yet: 5 days of sailing and 750 lie ahead of us. Spirits are high and the cupboards are full!

Driving to the edge of the world in El Hierro

Another day another rental car. This time in El Hierro! We fail to visit a monastery but find a nice pizzeria instead.

Exploring La Gomera

We rented a car and explored the beautiful island of La Gomera for a day and experienced the local hospitality first hand!

Long Days and Big Waves

As we go for our biggest sail so far, we experience our first acceleration zone with winds of 25+ knots and I get seasick.

Sailing with Mr. Pink

Our first sail takes us from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura. On the way we stop to snorkel and pull up Mr.Pink for a smooth and quick sail.

First Days On The New Boat!

First days on the new boat Moira with a big food shopping and other boat-missions.

Green Caves and Spanish Architects

Exploring the non-green Green caves and back to Arrecife, where I visit an art museum and find out what the men in the ocean are all about.

A Roadtrip To The Volcano Chicken

After meeting a sailing-celebrity we are off to explore the island by car and cruise around volcanoes, saltflats and green lagoons.

Finally back on Land - La Graciosa

We made landfall on La Graciosa, a small sparsley populated island just north of Lanzarote with sleepy towns and 4 volcanoes.

About Me

I am currently on a backpacking trip from Europe to and through South America. Since I lovea good challenge and flying is boring I decided to crew on sailboats across the Atlantic instead of just flying to Columbia. This is a blog to keep friends & family up to date and I also use it as a personal translation project and to keep my grey cells buzzing while I am away. I hope you enjoy!
